  • 1/2 lb crab meat fresh or imitation
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber julienned
  • 2-3 sheets nori cut into thin strips
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Optional toppings: pickled ginger spicy mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, scallions
  • Pro Tip: Fresh ingredients make all the difference. Use real crab if possible—it makes the flavors pop!

Instructions
 

  • Cook and season the rice: Rinse until water runs clear, cook according to package instructions, and mix gently with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Let cool slightly.
  • Prepare the crab: Shred real crab or chop imitation crab into bite-sized pieces.
  • Assemble your bowl: Start with a base of sushi rice, then layer crab, avocado, cucumber, and nori strips.
  • Add toppings: Sprinkle sesame seeds and drizzle with soy sauce, spicy mayo, or sriracha. Add pickled ginger if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy sushi at home without the fuss.
